Merry Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I hope everyone has had a wonderful christmas day! Right now, i am patiently waiting for my relief to come to work, so that I can enjoy Christmas with my family in Ontario. I am so excited to get home and see everyone, and everything that they got for christmas from santa (meaning the kids). What a blessing it is to spend christmas with the ones you love! I hope everyone has a great day, and may the new year bring even more blessings!

A decision

Well, I can't believe the umbelievable power of my Heavenly Father. I am not perfect, in fact far from it, but He seems to bless me anyways. I, of course, have to move out by the end of the month, and I have been led to a great opportunity. I will be living with a family of 4, and making sure the kids are tucked soundly in their bed at night. Eric, the dad, works overnight at The Idaho Statesman, and he needs someone to be at home while the kids sleep, and in exchange for this, I am going to be living there, rent free. What a blessing this is to me. And the timing couldn't be better. This will not be a permanent situation, but at least for the next few months or so. He has 2 beautiful daughters, and one wonderful boy. I want to move over there by the end of next week, if possible.

I decided to get a storage unit, put most of my stuff in there, and only take the esentials with me. So I will be packing, and moving, so Wish Me Luck, and if anyone would like to help the day of, I would be happy to accept the help. I want to move on the 28th, which is a Friday.

Thank you all for your support and love, I really appreciate all my blessings in life.

new happenings

well, the latest news is. i am moving, again. ugh. both of my roomates are moving out, leaving me in a 3 bdrm apt. i can't afford that on my own, and i don't really like the area enough to try and find 2 others to come to my rescue, so i am looking for another place. i want to live closer to the meridian area (for several reasons), so the search begins again. for some strange reason, i feel like i just did this whole thing. thats life, i guess.

i can't wait for christmas, it is going to be so joyable. yes, i will have to work, but i am okay with that, this time around, anyways. it is automatic overtime, and that means more $$$$! lol.
thats really it for now.. other than.. any suggestions on my page? I am trying to find a look/style/song that fits, so if there are any suggestions, that would be nice.

A Great Weekend

This is our cabin! My dad's parents own this beautiful cabin, and we were lucky enough to occupy it during Thanksgiving! Thank you grandma and grandpa!

Wow. What a weekend that was. I can't believe it is/was Thanksgiving already. I must say, i have enjoyed this holiday season ALOT better than last year, or the year before. What a joy it was to be with my family, and just get to spend time with them. I can't believe what i have been missing all these years, and to think, i could've had more opportunities like this one! To start off, on Thursday, I had to work, so i didn't get to start my time off until 3pm. But as soon as I got off, i came home, packed, and headed to Nicoles house to meet up with Brandi, who is a wonderful sister, that came from Ontario to pick me up to go to Cascade. When we got there, we were greeted by Papa & Tutu, and Nicole's family. The cabin isn't very large, so we had a wonderful time filling up the entire space! Krystal and her family were going to join us on Friday (we really celebrated thanksgiving on friday), so for the rest of thursday, we just relaxed. On friday, krystal came with her family, and we had a delicous dinner prepared by ket. I can't believe the talent he has with food. Yes, I am a picky eater, but what I have had of kets...well lets just say YUMMMM.

After we had our wonderful feast, the next task on the agenda (while checking things off in my head) was to take family photos. I started with Krystal and Robbie and the kids, and got some exquiste photos from them, and then it got too dark to do anyone elses. So we finished up the picture taking on Saturday afternoon. It was a perfect day for pictures (other than the coldness coming out of our chattering teeth while smiling). Here are a few of my favorites from the family.
What a georgous family i have. I can't believe how lucky I am, and how loving they all are to me, and to each other. I had such a great time taking these pictures, and watching each family interact with each other. here is our family picture of all of us.

Don't we all look so great! I think so too. The rest of the weekend was just as wonderful. The best part for me...Not a single worry! I was able to leave all my worries behind, and just relax, and have fun. I wouldn't trade that for anything.

Here are some more of my favorite photos! Enjoy, and Happy Holidays.

Hairspray!

Wow, what a fun filled day it was yesterday! For starters, I went to my nephew, Alec's, birthday party at Chuck-E-Cheese's! It was a blast. I was running around helping my sisters out here and there with their kids, and getting some good pictures too. speaking of pictures, here are some from the birthday party:

Then after we had so much fun at chuck-e-cheese, I went the mall and helped brandi with her kids while she took some pictures at kiddie kandids. I NEVER RECOMMEND going to take pictures of you and your kids without some help. seeing many parents come into the portrait studio and try and do it alone, i just feel for them. and then i helped brandi yesterday, and i see it from a different perspective! The picuters did turn out cute. I could tell they were all really exausted from the excitement of the day.

Then, after being really tired, Nicole and I decided to go to a movie. we decided to go see HAIRSPRAY!! It was such a hilarious movie. I definately recommend this movie. I didn't think that it was going to be that funny, but i couldn't stop laughing throughout the movie. Nicole leaned over to me at one point and said she felt like getting up and dancing. I felt the same way.

So the next morning from the previous blog, i went and took pictures of my newest niece, Chloe. She is so adorable. Here are a few of my favorites, and there are some more at Krystal's blog.

lots of stuff

so, i know its been a while since i've blogged, and i'm sorry. so here is a recap of events:

Not last weekend but the weekend before that, i got the great opportunity of watching Nicole and Kets 2 kids for the WHOLE weekend. They went to the grand opening of a new Towne Place Suites in Pocatello, and entrusted me with Jesiah and Kassia. What a treat. We did some really fun stuff. We went to Ontario and visited Tutu and Brandi and the kids, and had some really good soup. Then i played "mom" and sent Jesiah off to school, and took Kassia to pre-school. that was fun seeing the everyday stuff. Unfortunately both of their soccer games got cancelled due to rainy conditions, and so saturday, we had this day as a lazy day, and somehow jesiah got sick by the end of the night, and got a temperature after nicole and ket got home. But we did have a good time, and i enjoyed this time with them.

then this last weekend, i went to ontario to put extensions into my sisters hair. here are her before and after pictures of her hair. we started putting them in at 9:00pm, and didn't get done until 4:30am!!!

okay, so maybe that isn't that much stuff to tell about. but it is enough.

Well, I'm sick

like the title, i am sick. I am also sick and tired of being sick. I have been sick since I got home from work last thursday, and it's not going away. I have a mixture of allergies and a cold, which, if anyone wants to know, it is NOT a good combination. All the symptoms mixed together does not make for a good day. I have a hard time sleeping, but I can't take any sleeping pills becuase I have to be able to wake up early the next day for work. So, mainly i am complaining, because i can, and i know no one is going to be able to fix this, except me, by getting sleep.

I did decide to go to FHE last night just becuase i was feeling a little better, and we carved pumpkins. I took my pumpkin over to nicoles house for the kids to have. They carved pumpkins for their family night as well, so they have some good looking pumpkins on thier front porch. HOW FUN!

Conference

Well, i was able to watch general conference yesterday, and i have to say it was really good. I am excited about our newest general authorities, and also am excited for Elder Eyring to be in the presidency. I love how that man can talk to us, and it is very exciting to me. I am a little sad, however, becuase i only got a "taste" of conference, and I was unable to actually watch it today. For the first time in 3 years, i am at a place that would allow me to watch it, and yet, again, i can't watch all of it due to work. Thats okay though, at least i got a full day of a spiritual nourishment.

I am going to head over to nicole's house this afternoon, and spend sunday evening with them. I hope they don't mind. I like spending time over there, but sometimes, i don't think that i can afford the gas (i know that sounds silly). Well, thats about it. i hope everyone has a great day!

the soccor games

So, this morning, I went to Kassia and Jesiah's soccor games, and took pictures. They were so much fun, but it was sooo cold. It was raining on and off, and tutu was so worried about getting her hair wet because she didn't want it to fizz... hilarious. Kassia played first, and she was so cute with the ball, she had to have the coach hold her hand a couple of times, but for the most part, she just ran around with the other kids. The only time she really kicked the ball, was when it was her turn to kick it into the game. She really wanted to show us she could hop on one foot. so cute. I didn't know that they had different sizes of fields for different ages. I guess that makes sense. I just never thought of it that way.

Jesiah had a bigger field, still not the full size, but bigger. He was really into the game, and making sure that everyone was in the right place. At one point, Jesiah, and one of his teamates were both trying to get the ball, and tutu overheard Jesiah saying "We're on the same team!!!" Oh, the things kids say. And then again, when someone from the other team was going to throw the ball into the game, one boy exclaimed to another boy "Can you just leave me alone, I have to block the ball!" Wow, that just really got me! How hilarious! Can you imagine a pro player saying that to someone from the opposite team! Wow. Overall, we had a really good time. I did also enjoy taking some candid shots of the kids as well. So enjoy them, as I have!

another day, another dollar...

Well, not much has happened since last time i blogged. I babysat last night for Nicole and their friends. They had a dinner party with lots of food. Before I left to go over to their house, I saw all the food, and it sure looked good. Yumm. Nicole took me over to her friends house, and there, I watched over her 3 kids, and of course Jesiah and Kassia. They were all really good. I didn't have to really do much until bed time. We watched Hoodwinked, which was a funny movie. After the movie was over, I started getting everyone to pick up a little bit, and get pj's on and brushing their teeth. Of course they all wanted to stay up late, but I finally got them all in bed, except Kassia and Jesiah, since they still needed to go home and get ready for bed. It was pretty fun.

I also met one of Nicole's friends from her ward, and he is in the presidency (I think) of the singles ward that meets in the same buiding as Nicole. Well, their ward starts at 3, so I think I will have to start going their, at least until I get sunday's off. I will get to sacrament late, but it is better than not going at all. He also wants me to start coming to all the activities, and all the social gatherings for their ward. IT was funny, it was like he was trying to recruit me for something... lol. I was also thinking of getting a second job to occupy my time in the evenings. Right now, I just go home and eat dinner, and watch a movie or do some laundry, or something equally as boring, so I should either A: get a second job, earn some extra money so I don't feel like I have none, and which I looked through the Idaho Statesman today, and found a couple of ads, or B: throw myself into a ward, go to every activity, earn NO extra money, and have fun! I don't know...argh.

Anyways, I hope everyone has a wonderful evening, and take care!

An update, and an adventure

I finally got all my pictures up on my wall, except for the set of four door frames. I need to go to a craft store and get some ribbon to hang them up, so I will probably do that today. Work is going good. Can't complain about much. I finally got my internet switched over to my new apartment, so now I have a faster service, which, I must say, I am completely spoiled, and I will not settle for anything less than 2mg.

Last night, I babysat Nicole's kids while she and ket went to the Temple. We had a lot of fun. I taught kasen how to do a backflip, and land on his feet. Oh, you should see him! He loves it! I bet he is going to be a gymnist growing up! He just loves to fly through the air with Nicole and Ket tossing him back and forth, and up! Now he's already doing backflips! Jesiah and Kassia played with their learning video games, and Jesiah is so bright! I can't believe some of the things he is learning! It is so great to see his brain in motion! Kassia really wanted to learn too! She asked me how to write the letter A, so I showed her, and she spent the next 15 or so minutes practicing writting an A on her cute little note pad. Oh, how adorable they are. Unfortunately, the night didn't turn out how I expected. Minutes before Nicole and Ket got home, Kassia got a bloody nose, and she was already in bed, so there was blood all over her blankets, and the hallway, and the bathroom. I've never seen so much blood come from the nose. Nicole said that it has happened a couple of other times this past week as well. I felt so bad for her. But after we got the mess cleaned up, nicole and I talked for a while, and I didn't end up getting home until close to midnight! Oh, but it did feel good to sleep in today!

Anyways, that was my adventure for last night. I hope everyone has a wonderful day, and LaDeDa!!!!

a new place to be...

I have finally moved into my new apartment! Yeah! I didn't realize how hard of a bed that i bought, but hopefully I will get used to it. There are some advantages of having a hard bed... when i sit on it to put on my shoes, I don't sink down into it, and mess up my covers...lol. I do need to go do some grocery shopping though. I have hardley any food there, and I end up just eating at work, which isn't really the best kind of food for me. I have made a pledge to work out every day after work, since I can use the small workout room that they have available for the guests of the hotel. There are only three machines, but they do the trick! So I brought my extra clothes today, so I can go up there and use the treadmill today! YAH! okay, so maybe you're not as excited as I am, but hey, thats alright!

Anyways, Have a wonderful day today, and feel the beautiful abundance of sunshine!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

So today is my birthday, and I am at work having a great time! This is my first official day by myself---with out my trainer--- and I am having so much fun! AND--- I got secret shopped today, and I got a perfect score! Congrats to me! I can't believe how easy all of this really is! There is still a lot more that I need to learn, but I think i will get the hang of it quick.

Nicole and Ket and the kids are leaving today to California, so I will be in the house all by myself for the rest of the week. It will definately be a little lonely, but I think I can handle it. LOL. I move into my new apartment this weekend, with the help of tutu...thanks tutu! I also found out that three of my co-workers live in the same area as I will be, so it will be fun with all of us in the southwest part of Boise! Everyone is really cool here at work, and it will be sad to leave them when I go to work for Ket. But I know that this is what I am supposed to do.

Anyways, other than work and moving, nothing else has really happened. I hope everyone is having a wonderful day! I love you all!

Monday, August 27, 2007

so, life is great.

so, life is great. I love my new job. It does get boring sometimes, but it is so easy. I can't wait to be able to know everything! lol

Quick Update

Congratulations to ME! I just got a call tonight from Elizabeth at the Fairfield Inn in Boise, and I got the Front Desk job there! I will be starting right away, so I just wanted to upday ya'll before i get too busy, and hear the complaints!

the week

so, here is a summary of all that has happened since i last blogged...

On Saturday, we went to float the Boise river, and had a wonderful time! I didn't think that the water was too cold, or anything, but that doesn't mean I got in! LOL. Brandi and the kids and Jesiah, and I went in Dad's big raft, so it was nice. I would've been better had there been another adult to help w/ the kids while we controlled the oaring, but it still worked out just fine. Another thing that happened on Saturday, was, I found out that Ket wanted me to work for him at the Marriott Hotel that he was just made GM of. However, that hotel doesn't open until December, so I need to get a job at a different Hotel until Kets' opens. So on Monday, I decided to spend the day in Boise going around to all the different Marriott Hotels and finding out which ones were hiring. So, THANK you to Nicole and Ket for letting me stay at your house! So on Tuesday, I went to those hotels that said they were hiring, and had a couple of interviews. I also stopped at the Institute in Boise to get some names of girls that were looking for a roommate. I called a couple of them, and found a really good one, at a really good price. It is just a little bit on the outskirts of Boise, and it is a NEW apartment complex, so it is really nice. I think there was a reason why I hadn't gotten a job yet here in Ontario. I am really excited about where all of this is going, and can't wait to get into a new career! I will be moving into the new place at the beginning of September. So wish me luck! TTYL!

New news

Well, we found out yesterday, grandpa dunn has lung cancer. I am so sad. There are many things that I thought would never happen to our family, and this is certainly one of them. I know that he will be just fine. Not necisarlly heal, but HE will be fine. I love them both so much, it is going to be hard. I will be praying for them.

All the kids went to Roaring Springs yesterday, and I they had so much fun! Here is a picture of all of them.

That is Logan, Brandi, Alec, Nicole, Kassia, Jesiah, Krystal, Robbie, and Noah!
They said they all had a lot of fun, except it was a little cold for them, so they only ended up staying about an hour, then went back to Nicoles house to have dinner. Can't wait for next season when I can get a season pass, and join in the fun!
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Baby Shower

Well, the baby shower was a success, I think anyways! We had so much fun on Friday! Everyone started to arrive at 6:00, and by 6:30, we started to play and have fun! The food was good, the dessert was good, the guests were great! There are pictures posted on Krystals' page if you want to see them, but for the most part, I'm sure everyone had fun!

Yesterday, Dad, Mom, and I went to see Bourne Ultimatum. It was a really good movie. I highly recomend that movie-series. While we were waiting for it to start, dad decided to go sit in Harry Potter for a minute. (I don't know why, but thats what he wanted to do), so after our movie started, he came in. After the movie was over, he decided that he wanted to go see Harry Potter from wherever it was at. So we went into the other theater, and found out that it was just about to start. Actually, I guess it was supposed to start at 4:00, and it was 4:20 when we went in there, and it hadn't started yet. So, luckily for him, he got to see all of the movie! What LUCK!

I love the sabbath day! It gives me so much peace to know that this day is for the Lord, and to spend with our families! I can't imagine what our lives would be like without the love and the blessings that this gospel brings into our lives. What a wonderful gift it is to know that He loves us, and has a specific mission for each of us, here on this earth. I know that, by following His example and teachings, we can become like Him, and truly have endless happiness in our lives.

My heart goes out to Elder Fausts' family during this time of mourning. His was a highly spiritual man, and I will miss his teachings to us!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Sabbath Day! I love you all!

New picture!

Here are some updated pictures of me. I took these today! Somehow my hair looks really good today, so here you go. Isn't it fun, the technology we have today?!
Well, I had an interview today for woodgrain. I think it went really well. They will cut the choices down to 3 people by the end of the week, and give me a call if I'm one of them. Then I will have to interview with the Manager of Human Resources. So, keep your fingers crossed, I hope it will go alright.
Krystal's Baby Shower is this Friday, so I need to get busy and finalize all the plans for the day. I hope everything goes smoothly. I also hope we have a good turnout. I haven't gotten very many RSVP's (not that I was really expecting people to RSVP me, but still...), so everyone: COME!!!
Anyways, that's all I really have to say, so... Have a wonderful morning, evening, or night, whichever time of day you're reading this...

The Weekend

Well, it was an interesting weekend for me. On Friday Dad and I went to Meridian to pick up my new mattress and box spring set. Mom told us to take the entertainment center with us to give to Nicole and Ket. So we're in the truck, getting off at the Meridian exit, when I had a thought...hmmm.. I wonder if they are even home!? I assumed that since mom told us to take the center, she called Nicole and told her. Well, again I should never assume anything, and Nicole had NO idea that we were even coming. She was out doing her drive-thru's of the neigborhood, and LUCKILY she was just about done, and was on her way home. So that was a blessing. She had NO idea that we were coming. But I was able to get the new mattress, and bring it back home. But since I'm not moving to Fruitland, I decided to just store it at the shop for a while, until I'll need it again. Dad and I spent some good quality time together, and even though we couldn't talk very much during the drive to and from Meridian (the truck has no AC so the windows were down, and it was NOISY), it was a lot of fun to be with him.

On Saturday, we had a birthday party for Logan, and it was so much fun! We had a great time with all the family there. I was going to go up to McCall to see my friend Annie, but I decided that it would be better to be here at home for the party. It sure was a lot of fun. Logan got a new Red Rider Tricyle for his birthday, and some clothes and shoes from Grandma. All of the kids wanted turns to ride the trike and to ride on the back of it also. It was cute watching all of them.

Well, thats all for now. Love you all.

Well, its time

Okay, so now I am almost offically at Tutu's house, and it feels really good to be settled. I put up the rod-iron bed today, and mom and I were able to finally get the box springs up the stairs (without too many more holes in the walls :P), and I put my new bedspread on, and it looks great! I love the colors and the design. I just have to get a couple of pillows to fill the shams, then I'll take a picture of it and post in on this blog. Instead of paying rent, mom has agreed to let me be the housekeeper. It will be somewhat of the same thing that I was doing at della's, except I wont be getting paid, and I still need a real job.

Speaking of which, I got a call yesterday about a job at Woodgrain in Fruitland in the Human Resources department, but now I am just waiting for another call back for an interview. I will call them tomorrow. I have also applied for a job at the DMV here in Ontario as the Customer Service Manager. I am barely qualified (they want four years of experience, and I have three), but the pay is good, and it is great hours. So keep your fingers crossed for me. Also if anyone sees any opportunities that sound good, let me know!!!!

And I'm the last one...

Okay, okay. So enough is enough. I am the last one of my family to get a blog spot. My sisters have asked and asked again, so HERE YOU GO! I don't know what to talk about, but when it comes, I will write it. I hope ya'll won't get bored reading my life, but you probably will. SO hang in there.

Tomorrow will be my last day working for Della. I am excited and nervous at the same time. I still don't have another job yet, and my place in fruitland fell through. So I am having a tough time decided what to do, and where I am going to do it. It is quite frustrating. I am going through the employment office here in ontario, and I think that it will work, eventually. We are trying to get the room ready for me to move into over at mom's house, and it is hard. I just hope everything works out okay.
